Norman & suzanne Bryon - Zimbabwe

Norman & Suzanne wish to thank friends at The Coign for the giving of £430 via the
wheelbarrow last December. This has been used to give a story book to 215 children who
live in tiny shacks and attend Newfrontiers pre-schools around Zimbabwe, These books are greatly
treasured by the children as, for most of them, it is their only personal possession!
The donated packets of seeds were distributed to the same homeless families.
Coign Kids collected 250+ plastic animals in December and these have been used to
create 6 sets of animals for teaching the story of Creation in 6 rural pre-schools.
The folk who run the pre-schools have asked us to pass on their heartfelt thanks and appreciation.
We would greatly value your support with the following needs:
1.The Newfrontiers-supported Ebenezer Agricultural Training programme based at Kezi [if you
haven’t heard the dam story, do ask!] has 40 students. Many own no Bible and some
have varied versions, so we would love to fund an NIV Bible for each student so that
teaching and daily study can follow a common format. These are $7/£5 each.
2. We are off to Zimbabwe again in Sept, for 3 months, to support the Newfrontiers
Harare church’s outreach into a local residential school for mentally disabled children,
St. Catherine’s. It is run down and needs resources on every level. The Head now attends the church and we would love to help make a difference there and bring Jesus to these youngsters. As well as sending resources for the staff of curriculum, syllabuses and assessment strategies, we hope to take classroom resources and PE and Art equipment. Any contributions towards this would be most welcome. When we were there in March we located just one ball in the whole school and no Art materials whatsoever!
3. Finally, during this next trip we would love to re-tile the floor of one of the dormitories. The availability and cost of the tiles we are currently exploring. Please keep an eye out for the collection boxes. May we thank those folk who give regularly into the Zimbabwe Fund and respectfully suggest that tax payers might like to consider using the GA envelopes to increase your donation by 28%.
