Out of your Comfort Zone
Prophetic Word given by Malcolm Kayes on Sunday 9th January 2012 @ 9:00am meeting
I feel the Lord would say to us as a church that this is going to be a year for us ‘out of the comfort zone’. The Lord would reassure you and say ‘Being out of your comfort zone is being in mine, and I want to ask you where do you want to live? Do you want to live within your comfort zone or do you want to live within mine? Because within My comfort zone there is faith expressed, there is a real warm relationship between Me and you, there is fruitfulness, there is a life changed and other lives changed, there is growth, there is healing, there is my Kingdom. That is My comfort zone.’
‘I bear with you in your comfort zones, I bear with them, but I call you to come out of your comfort zone as a church and as individuals, and to just move out in faith and obedience - however radical you feel that may be. I want to tell you are moving right into My zone and I will be very close to you. I will be very powerful in your life and in your circumstance. I will be very powerful in your meetings, in your gatherings, in your mission, and in your ministry.’
‘I want you to move right into My zone. I don’t want you to be afraid of stepping out. I don’t want you to be afraid of risking. I don’t want you to be afraid of sacrifice. I don’t want you to be afraid of volunteering. I don’t want you to be afraid of speaking out on My behalf because, when you do that I just love it, says God, I love it. You feel awkward – I feel great, says God, because I will use your awkwardness, I will use your uncertainty - I will even use the little bits of fear that you have had, to actually enhance what you are saying so that it will be greatly used.’
‘I want to say to the 60 plus age group in this church - I have not made a comfort zone for you either. There is no comfort zone for those who are over 60. There is no resting. There is no stepping back. There is no hiding. There is no inactivity. I am calling you to be vehement in My praise. I am calling you to be ferocious in worship and in the use of the gifts that I have given to you, in the sharing of the stories and the testimonies that you have through many years of My faithfulness.’
‘And I want to speak to the teens and the twenties and say to you too - there is no comfort zone for you either. There’s no place where I say you are ‘too young’ because I will never say that over any of my chosen ones. I want you to move out in obedience and faith too, I want you to move into My comfort zone.
‘And then for those in the middle, I call you not to get entangled by the world. Don’t be entangled by the world. You get sucked into the comfort zone of the world and I want to tell you this - it is a stranger to Me. The zones of the world are strangers to me; I know them, I can be there, but it’s not where I am working - where there is entanglement, where there is materialism. I want you to be obedient in your giving, obedient in your serving, and obedient in your faithfulness to your husband or your wife. I want you to be obedient in honouring those who are over you, whether they be at work or in local authority or national government. I don’t want you to settle to the ways of the world.’
‘This is going to be year when I am calling you to move out of your comfort zone. I want to tell you, to reassure you, and bless you - move into mine. It’s a wonderful place to be, and I will be your helper and your strength and there will be much fruit!’
